Christopher P. Allen, MBA
specialization is Marketing, and founder of “The Jabbo Group”.
The Jabbo Group is a full service Marketing, Advertising,
Research and Consulting firm for Sports, Entertainment, and
Educational business.
Before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Chris was the
Director of Public Relations and Media Relations for the
Jacksonville Tomcats and Lizardkings. The Tomcats was one of the
most successful Arena2 franchise in the league, as well as, the
most successful minor league team in Jacksonville history.
Christopher is a graduate of Alabama A&M,
where he played football for four years, and received his B.S.
degree in Marketing. Upon graduation, he went to work with the
New Jersey Nets in the National Basketball Association. His
responsibilities included all facets of public relations,
including media, player appearances and community events.
Currently, he has
transitioned from the Sports Industry into Higher Education. He
is an Academic Advisor for the Accelerated Studies in Associate
Program (ASAP). He is there to help advise students as they
venture down their academic journey at the Borough of Manhattan
Community College (BMCC) in New York City. He has seven years
experience in Higher Education and over ten years of experience
in Corporate America.
Chris also served as assistant offensive
coordinator for Horace Mann High School in his hometown of Gary,
Indiana. Christopher enjoys the experience of working with the
young athletes, particularly those making the transition to
college. Christopher is also a member of Omega Psi Phi
Fraternity.
